Welcome 2007!

Happy New Year everyone!
Nope, I'm not venturing out amongst the drunken revelers...I'll just sit here at home with my dear daughter and mother and toast the new year with the bottle of French Pink Champagne my son and new daughter-in-law gave me for Christmas. Well...Mom and I will toast with the Champagne and my daughter will have some nice sparkling grape juice.

I'm sure we've all made our New Year's Resolutions...
My tentative resolutions are: (Hey...I've still got 5 hours to change my mind)

  • More time reading the Bible and meditating on God's Word
  • Use the treadmill
  • Buy the film "Supersize Me" and pay attention!
  • Less TV and computer (!!!!!!!!)
  • Set aside at least 3 hours every day to work on my manuscript

On a serious note, I pray we'll have peace in the Middle East within the coming year. As a mother with a son in the Marine Corps, it weighs heavily on my mind and keeps me awake at night.

Remember:

2 Chronicles 7: 14 If my people, which are called by my name, shall humble themselves, and pray, and seek my face, and turn from their wicked ways; then will I hear from heaven, and will forgive their sin, and will heal their land.

Have a Happy and Safe New Year!

Still Figgerin This Blinkin Bog

Well, forgive me ya'll but I'm still trying to figger out this blinking blog. It is indeed a mystery to me. Hmmm......
Must play around here for awhile.

TBS's Funniest Commercials Not So Funny

A few nights ago my 12 year-old daughter and I saw an advertisement for TBS's Funniest Commercials so we settled in expecting to see something entertaining. What aired so vulgar and embarrassing that we had to turn it off and forget it. I think they should have come with a warning to the viewer and an X rating. I'm seriously considering forgetting about watching TV. Yuk!

On a happier note, I just got back from Hawaii a couple of weeks ago. Our hotel was on Waikiki Beach and we had a fabulous view of the ocean from our balcony. Wow.....what a fantastic sight to wake up to.My son got married on the beach at sunset and it was all like some kinda awesome fantasy. Way to get married, son!
