Happy New Year everyone!
Nope, I'm not venturing out amongst the drunken revelers...I'll just sit here at home with my dear daughter and mother and toast the new year with the bottle of French Pink Champagne my son and new daughter-in-law gave me for Christmas. Well...Mom and I will toast with the Champagne and my daughter will have some nice sparkling grape juice.
I'm sure we've all made our New Year's Resolutions...
My tentative resolutions are: (Hey...I've still got 5 hours to change my mind)
- More time reading the Bible and meditating on God's Word
- Use the treadmill
- Buy the film "Supersize Me" and pay attention!
- Less TV and computer (!!!!!!!!)
- Set aside at least 3 hours every day to work on my manuscript
On a serious note, I pray we'll have peace in the Middle East within the coming year. As a mother with a son in the Marine Corps, it weighs heavily on my mind and keeps me awake at night.
